I was some concerned with cycling issues before barrel install due to the basic concept of the 300 Blackout. Heard of those that had to use pistol length gas inpingement because of powder burn rates...dwell time...etc. No problems with install and headspace was a no issue as well.
What I can tell you is that I do not care to use nor will I ever use subsonic loads...no point. That being said...what I did have a problems with was the length of the finished loaded ammo. Being that I am frugal because of the volume of ammo I use...I cannot ever see myself using factory ammo. So....since I can use any .308 bullet...I tried a 120 grain round nose and I had nothing but problems with the bullet nose jamming on the top of/chamber opening better known as FTF. I had some 180 grain Hornady SST's so I loaded these for one load and there was not a single cycling issue and I used this bullet for break in of barrel. After break in I ran through 20 + rounds and there was not a single cycling problem. Smooth!
Here's what I finally did for cheap shooting. I used Lee 7.62 x 39 160 grain TL cast bullets ran through a .309 sizer and gas checked...loaded using Alliant Power Pro 300 MP (Will not say how much 300 MP powder used but you can find loads online) which gives the length for the nose of the bullet to ramp into the chamber reliably....I mean no cycling issues period!
I am pleased with the finish of Spinta barrel...no headspace issues...Spinta doesn't dilly dally with shipping..they ship fast! I have not sat down at the bench and tested accuracy but that is coming soon. Almost all of my practice/shooting is less than 25 yards...more like 10 yards close quarters. Excellent buy...nice barrel...no cycling issues...I hit what I aim at (Clay targets actually)...pretty sweet.
I recommend Spinta Precision barrels...great value...nice barrels...no games!

Installed on a Aero upper with Spikes NB BCG and M.I. 10" FF handgaurd and standard A2 flash hider. First two 5 shot goups sub moa using 110 gr Nosler Varmegeddon.
